Topic: A case for volume and velocity inputs rather than price. How DVAN uses this methodology to analyze markets over multiple time frames.

Jim will show contrasts between volume graphs and price graphs to illustrate how volume/velocity data is leading. Multiple time frame analysis using DVAN’s methodology and SmartLine Models will demonstrate how greater transparency can be attained to add alpha and reduce and/or avoid risk.

Speaker: Jim Kennedy, Founder and CEO, Divergence Analysis Inc.

After ten years at Robinson Humphrey and Alex Brown & Sons, Jim founded Divergence Analysis in 1989 . Through intensive self study into technical and quantitative analysis, Jim created his own proprietary algorithms to analyze market movements. His original algorithms remain the foundation of the Divergence Analysis methodology today. In 2001, DVAN transformed its algorithms into computer-based models, allowing the interface between DVAN and its clients to grow. Since then, DVAN has expanded its product list to include an APP on the Bloomberg Professional System’s App Portal, and (coming soon) an APP on Ninja Trader’s platform and TradeStation’s platform. DVAN currently has institutional private clients in the US, and global APP users on 5 continents.
