JOB DESCRIPTION

Sr. Web Software Developer — Atlanta, GA (Midtown or Downtown)

Initial engagement can be one of the following: Full time

The emphasis is on a front end web developer creating a dynamic AJAX, JQuery applications with JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML5 inside the browser environment. In addition, build rich (fat) client applications with extensive JavaScript UI Library integration to drive interactive and dynamic graphs and rich content

Applicant should have a deep understanding of modern dynamic web application architecture and web standards. Applicant should have a strong understanding of object-oriented design and full lifecycle software development processes including requirements analysis, technical design, scoping, and estimating. Strong overall communication and documentation skills are required. Applicant should be able to lead and participate in both technical and non-technical discussions. Applicant should be highly motivated, able to self-manage, and able to work well in a team environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills:

  • Expert in JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, AJAX
  • Expertise with modern web development technologies and paradigms
  • Expertise with one or more server-side languages (PHP, Java, Python, etc.)
  • RDBMS Production Experience with at least one of the following: MYSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, SQLITE
  • RDBMS Technology (Design/E&R diagram, Indexes, Referential Integrity and DB performance optimization)
  • Expertise with object-oriented development and design patterns
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Proven track record of technical innovation and out of the box thinking

A big plus:

  • Experience with mission critical websites
  • Experience with eCommerce and integration of Online Payment processing
  • Knowledge of other languages and frameworks (Django, Hibernate, Structs, Spring, Ruby, etc)
  • Experience with Bootstrap, Sencha or any other rich JavaScript Library

Interpersonal/Team Skills: Excellent communication skills. Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams.

Experience: 3+ years

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or technology/engineering.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience and skill level.
